To Be Alert!

They who wish to Master distance running will soon realize that the strength they need is of the spirit, conferred through the mind.  That to exist in efficient motion indefinitely; one runs in the immediate moment AND holistically. The holistic runner is that one who has found a higher place in this life expression, and channels all external benefits to a more vibrant life.

In running distances the holistic runner sees many abridging factors and characteristics which happen to be of vital need in any successful aspect of life. "Needs" such as devotion, discipline, passion, long-suffering, patience, meekness, gentleness and numerous branching characteristics which contribute tremendously to humanity.

Success and running efficiency come only to the alert. To be alert in every human capacity suites every prior example of success. To be alert spiritually: to always see and hear the biggest picture of life, and to expect newness and internal revolution daily. To be alert mentally: to use one’s mind as a tool to mediate themselves in this natural realm; to be ready and instant to work with both sides, spirit and body. Here, between ones spirit and body, the distance runners mind is making a willing and eager bid to help fuse the human expression into something more.

To be alert physically: to yield to sub-conscious sensory input, often through split seconds and to act. The body is adjusting instantaneously to direction and information... running as an expression of oneself. All states in the sub-conscious runner are about sensitivity. To be alert is to save one’s life, and to deliver life to others.  Enjoy!
